About us
Tenement Mining (Pty) Limited was established in 2016 in direct response to developments in the mining industry over the last 25 years. Junior developers have become the key drivers of industry growth in an environment where compliance obligations to the regulator, industry bodies and stock exchanges have become increasingly stringent.
Mining is a capital-intensive business. Junior developers build projects differently, growing capacity progressively from a smaller base as a means of de-risking projects which then attracts capital for further growth. Having internal skills using this approach is simply not sustainable where operational scale cannot support a large head-office overhead.
Tenement provides a nimble, experienced and multi-faceted technical advisory team which creates direct value for clients in terms of technical input and reporting, and learnings across the wider mineral resource and extractive industry.
With over 50 years’ combined experience, our core team comes from geological and mining engineering backgrounds. Currently Competent Persons in eight commodities and Competent Valuators in 12 commodities, we have the ability to draw from wide experience in both operational and consulting / advisory businesses.

The Tenement team has experience across a wide range of countries worldwide and has issued compliant documentation into seven global stock exchanges.
Countries including Angola, Australia, Botswana, Brazil, CAR, DRC, Egypt, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, USA, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
